Free Fishing Clinic at Jack L. Ray Park

During Free Fishing Clinics, kids will learn about and practice casting techniques, the importance of catch-and-release, safe fishing practices for the kids and the environment around them, as well as local fish consumption advisories and native fish species on the Coosa River!

Kiddos will get to go home with all they need to know to begin their journey as anglers, including a tackle box filled with beginner fishing tackle, coloring books, and print materials!

2 Sessions available: 10AM-12PM and 1PM-3PM

*Please do not bring fishing poles from home, all fishing poles needed for practice will be provided*

• Is the event free? Yes!
• Do parents need to stay? We prefer parents to stay. If you must leave, we will be sure to have your contact information and will text you when we are almost done to come pick up your child.
• Do we need to bring anything? For this workshop, you do not need to bring anything.
• What is the age limit for the clinics? 5-18!
