The City of Gadsden is excited to bring the BIGGEST Back-to-School Bash ever to downtown Gadsden! On July 25–26, S. 3rd Street near Riverview Regional Medical Center will transform into Slide the City, featuring a massive 1,000-foot-long Slip 'N Slide water party experience. 💦🛝🎉
Slide the City is a nationally recognized event that has traveled to major cities including Kansas City, Nashville, Fort Worth, Washington, Chicago, Boston, and the Jersey Shore. In Alabama, it has only been hosted in Huntsville and Vestavia Hills, making this a unique opportunity for Gadsden residents and visitors to experience the excitement right here at home.

Slide the City: Know Before You Go

Get ready for nonstop fun with the Slide the City Pass! Enjoy unlimited rides during your selected 1-hour session as you race down the giant water slide again and again. Whether you're coming with friends, bringing the family, or looking for the perfect way to cool off, Slide the City is the ultimate summer experience for all ages.
*Please arrive 15 minutes early

Unlimited rides during your selected 1-hour session
Water tube provided

Participant Requirements

• Riders must be 7 years of age or older to ride independently.
• Riders must be at least 46 inches tall to ride independently.
• Children ages 4–6 or under 46 inches tall must ride with a parent or legal guardian.
• Children 3 and under are not permitted.

What to wear

• Wear your swimsuit or other appropriate clothing that you plan to slide in.
• Bring a towel to dry off after your session.
• Shoes are not permitted on the slide.
• Jeans and clothing with rivets, buckles, or other hard metal pieces are not allowed.

Food & Beverage Policy

No outside food or drinks are allowed.

We will have a variety of food trucks and local vendors on site offering food, snacks, and beverages throughout the event.

Additional Information

• There are no changing rooms available on site, so please arrive dressed and ready to slide.
• Slide the City is a rain-or-shine event. After all, you're going to get wet anyway!
• The slide will remain open during light rain.
• Operations will be suspended if lightning, heavy winds, or other unsafe weather conditions occur.
